The Aahwahan Foundation combines its experience, technical capabilities and leadership skills to develop programs, campaigns and initiatives where they are most needed.
The Ahwahan Foundation’s ‘Laptop Bank’ initiative strengthens education and ensures its expansion in the most difficult regions of the country. They enable the weaker section students (6th-12th class) to borrow laptops and study from home for a certain period of time (usually 2-3 hours). Students must go through a verification process; Where their volunteers will check the details of the family income and only those students who are eligible for this initiative will be selected. Laptops will be installed with relevant software before providing assistance to eligible students.
The head of Braj Kishore, founder, Ahabhan Foundation advises, “Every citizen must come forward and contribute to the students for an effective future and socially positive change in the country. He called for the contribution of community groups and corporates through their CSR programs to enable education for marginalized groups.
Currently, there are 433 laptops allocated by the Awahan Foundation for this initiative, benefiting 3031 students in metro cities including Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Noida. The team has set a target of allocating 1000 computers for this specific initiative, which will benefit 10,000 children from different parts of the country. In addition, the foundation wants to expand its initiative to other parts of the country, such as Guwahati and Visakhapatnam, where many more poor youth will be able to access digital resources.
Abahan Foundation seeks the active participation of socially conscious corporations / individuals to enrich the educational journey of rural children. Any assistance in contributing to infrastructure, sponsorship for children, and other benefits would be greatly appreciated.
