According to its Member-Secretary, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will soon open a training center in Haryana for its Idea Development, Evaluation and Application (IDEA) Lab program.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will soon set up a training center in Haryana for its Idea Development, Evaluation and Application (IDEA) lab initiative, its member secretary said.
AICTE-IDEA labs are being set up across the country to encourage hands-on experience, learning through learning and even product visualization to encourage the application of basic subjects in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
“We will soon set up a training center for IDEA Labs in Haryana,” said AICTE Member-Secretary Dr Rajeev Kumar while unveiling the week-long Faculty Development Program (FDP) at the premises of DY Patil International University (DYPIU). Thursday in Pune.
AICTE wants to spread this kind of education across the country, he said in a release. Speaking at the event, Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Advisor, (Institutional Development Cell), AICTE, said that an IDEA lab is a experiential learning that will complement online learning, which will be mainstream in the future.
He added that AICTE plans to prepare faculty to move away from rot learning and create questions based on IDEA labs to promote creativity and imagination among students.
