Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has congratulated IAS Amit Khare on his retirement as Secretary to the Ministry of Education. On September 30, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) hosted a benefit event for IAS Amit Khar. K Sanjay Murthy, IAS, will take charge as Secretary, Ministry of Education.
Amit Khar is a 1985 batch Bihar / Jharkhand cadre IAS officer. In December 2019, he was appointed Secretary (Department of Higher Education) in the Ministry of Education.
Speaking on the occasion, Amit Khar said, “I am not retiring, but my tenure is coming to an end and I will continue to work for the betterment of the nation.” Our students hold the key to the future of the nation. As a result, we all need to take care of them and gradually develop their potential through the implementation of national education policy. ”
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on the occasion, “Amit Khar has set a milestone in higher education with his knowledge and extensive experience in many fields.” He has been very helpful in advising me on various aspects of the National Education Policy 2020. ”
