Bhimraya Metry awarded the prestigious Dr. PN Singh Memorial Award

The Director of IIM Nagpur, Vimaraya Metric has been awarded by the Higher Education Forum (HEF) for outstanding academic leadership.

Vimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, has been awarded the prestigious Dr. PN Singh Memorial Award for Outstanding Academic Leadership by the Higher Education Forum (HEF). HEF is a community of individuals and higher education practitioners and with over 4000 members it is the largest think tank on higher education in India. Dr. PN Singh was a legendary corporate leader and academic who was a patron of HEF. This year, Bhimraya Mitri received the award in a virtual event.

Matryoshka is an eminent educator, eminent teacher, researcher and prudent administrator. An outstanding leader in management education, Metri has previously served as Director-IIM Tiruchirappalli, Dean-L&T Institute of Project Management Vadodara, IMI Delhi, MDI Gurgaon and BITS Pilani in leading research activities.

Under his leadership, IIM Nagpur is growing rapidly with diverse and industry relevant short and long term programs. Recently IIM Nagpur has also launched its satellite campus in Pune. In the past, Metric has received several prestigious awards and recognitions. Metry is the only IIM director to receive the country’s prestigious AIMA-Kewal Nohria Award for Academic Leadership in Management Education. Distinguished Service Award by Asia Pacific Decision Sciences Institute, Top Director Award by CSR; Motivation Award – Distinguished Alumni Award, and “Top Rankers Excellence Award for Outstanding Academic Leadership” by Top Rankers Management Club, New Delhi.
