Shulini University Industry-Academia Partnership with Burdwan; The industry has bid Rs 3 crore for research in nanotechnology at the university.
To encourage industry-academy partnership, Shulini University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian textile company, Burdwan Textile Limited (VTL), contributing Rs. 3 crore for research in Burdwan nanotechnology.
By setting up nano-materials and techniques for use in state-of-the-art labs, Shulini University aims to work for environmental detoxification, clean energy production and waste use.
The MoU was signed in the presence of SP Oswal, Chairman and Managing Director, Burdwan Group, by Prof. PK Khosla, Chancellor, Shulini University, and Prafulla Anbhai Patel, Director, Burdwan Textiles and Chairman, CSR.
According to the MoU, Burdwan will provide transmission electron microscopy (TEM) / field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) equipment. The new lab will help the university upgrade students’ skills-sets, including UG / PG / Doctoral programs, and play a key role in working on topics such as cancer biology, biotechnology, food technology, photo-catalysis, and water purification. , Etc.
