Canvas and Vedantu Partners for Children’s Design Challenge

With the school closing, students explored various ways to keep their creative juices flowing and use the resources available to stay employed, motivated and motivated. As part of the Children’s Day initiative, Vedantu, a live online learning and visual communication platform, launched Canva, India’s first-of-its-kind design challenge, with a design bootcamp to educate schoolchildren on the essentials of creativity. And design thinking. Design boot camp sessions will be conducted by Canva and Vedantu master teachers. Through this collaboration, Vedantu seeks to celebrate the creativity, curiosity and exploration of children and teachers across the country.

The theme for the first edition of the Design Challenge is #GoingBacktoSchool and is open to all students ages 6-18. The challenge is to ask students to create an artwork on canvas that really resonates with the theme. Students will need to submit a design with a template available at Canvas for Education that focuses on the specialties of # GoingBackToSchool for them. The works of art created by the students will be judged in three categories –

• Group 1: Junior School (Grade 2nd-5th) – Students are invited to create a poster
• Group 2: Middle School (Grades 6-8) – Students will create an infographic or a newsletter
• Group 3: High School (9th-12th grade) – Students create a video or presentation

How can students participate in the design challenge?

• Students can visit Canva.com and create an account using their own or their parents’ email address.
• Choose from multiple templates available for posters, infographics, presentations, cards and other suggested formats
• Create their artwork on the theme #GoingBacktoSchool
• If a student is under the age of 13, we encourage them to share a link to their canvas design with a teacher or parent and ask them to submit their design. Students 13 years of age or older can submit their design link directly to the application form.
• Students are reminded to write a few lines about their artwork, what it means to them and how it links back to the theme.
