The following quick information may be helpful for candidates appearing for the CAT 2021 exam
The general admission test is a computer-based test for those who want to be admitted to a graduate management program. Extended CAT registration closed at 5:00 pm on September 22, 2021 where about 2.31 lakh candidates had successfully registered for the exam. Here’s what you need to know to move forward:
CAT 2021 is scheduled to be held on 28 November 2021 (Sunday) in more than 400 test centers spread across 159 cities in India. The format of the exam will remain the same as last year, i.e. the two shifts of the 2-hour exam will have three sections: i) verbal ability and comprehension of reading, ii) quantitative ability and iii) data interpretation and logical reasoning. Candidates will be given 40 minutes for each section, PwD candidates will get 13 minutes and 20 seconds extra for each section.
Last year’s CAT format needed to be changed due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Since we are seeing the same epidemic problem this year, the format and pattern of the CAT 2021 test will remain the same. However, considering that the change may put pressure on the CAT to finish the exam last year, the CAT Committee for CAT 2021 is trying to reduce the number of questions in three sections – QA, DILR and VARC.
Mock test / tutorial The exam format will be available on the CAT website from the last week of October 2021 to understand. Candidates are advised to work out the tutorials available on the CAT website in advance.
