Dholakia Ventures, an investment arm of the Dholakia Family Office, has invested an undisclosed amount in Vidyakul, a vernacular after-school e-learning platform. Diamond King Savji of Surat saw the potential hand of Dholakia’s investment and topped the bridge round raised by the platform in early September 2021. Angel investors – Gaurav Juneja, Sourav Agarwal and Puneet Mittal also participated in the ongoing round.
Vidyakul has witnessed high growth in the Gujarat region since its introduction with a focus on learning the Gujarati language. Within 7 months of its launch in the region, it has registered more than 6 lakh students from Gujarat. The brand has partnered with more than 500 Gujarati medium schools to distribute digital and print study materials.
The EdTech start-up currently provides education in 4 languages and has already enabled it for 1.1 million students in 10 states. Vidyakul Marquee has attracted investors and has so far raised funds from SOSV, We Founder Circle, Zeto Angel Network and ThinkUvet.
