GoI Ministry of Education has selected LPU as a consulting firm for innovation

The Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education has selected LPU as a ‘Mentor Institution’ under GoI Mentor Program 2021-22.

The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) has selected Lovely Professional University as a ‘Consultative Institution for Innovation and Entrepreneurs’ under the Government of India’s Mentor-Menti Program 2021-22. A total of 50 Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) organizations have been selected across the country, of which LPU is the only one selected from Punjab.

In 2018, the Ministry of Education established the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC) program for higher education institutions in collaboration with AICTE to systematically promote a culture of innovation and start-up ecosystems in educational institutions. It also works on designing ranking systems to give organizations recognition for their unique innovations.

As a consulting firm, the IIC established at LPU will conduct various innovation and entrepreneur-related activities mentioned by MIC in a timely manner. These activities include periodic workshops / seminars / interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals; Create mentor pools for student innovators; Networking with colleagues, the National Entrepreneur Development Agency; Organize hackathons, concept competitions, and industry-wide challenges. Most of these activities are already being handled by LPUs
