Hindi Pakhwada has been successfully held at IIT Bhubaneswar

The theme of the program was to highlight the significance of Hindi language.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar’s Hindi Literary Society of Student Gymkhana has organized a “Hindi Pakhwada” on campus to commemorate “Abhivyakti” and Rajbhasha Single Hindi Day.

Popular activities for students and staff include the Hindi Poetry Slam “Aweez,” the “Perspectives on Many Issues,” and the competition to write a Hindi slogan. Prominent personalities recognized for their contribution to Hindi literature, such as Devendra Choubey of JNU, Ganapat Teli of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Bhavya Soni of Rajasthan University and others, have acted as judges of these events and provided advice to students on how to develop them.

The main attraction of the evening was the comedy poet Shambhu Shikar, whose comments and Hindi poetry were well received by all. The Central Library and IIT Bhubaneswar have collaborated to organize a “Hindi Book Exhibition” at the Institute’s Central Library till September 16 alone.

The theme of the program was to commemorate the significance of Hindi language and to raise awareness about its use in daily life. RV Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar said at the closing ceremony today, “I would like to take this opportunity to emphasize the simplicity, humility and strength of Hindi as a language and I would like to encourage all of you to incorporate it in your daily office routine. Kumar congratulated the winners of all the tournaments. The winners of the competition received financial prizes.
