IIHMR University Host Provisional 2022 on the Future of Healthcare and Education

IIHMR University, Jaipur hosts its 26th Annual Global Conference on Innovation in Healthcare and Education: The Decade of Acceleration for Global Goals, which began on February 9, 2022 and ended on February 11, 2022.

Dr. PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University, welcomed the chief guest by Dr. Rakesh Sarwal, Additional Secretary (Health), Policy Commission, Government of India, who delivered the concluding address. Dr Sarwal highlighted India’s performance on the Global Innovation Index which has been increasing since 2019. He also focused on the India Innovation Index where the NITI Commission released two editions in 2019 and 2020. Dr. Sarwal shared ways to accelerate innovations and their impact by increasing access, affordability, equity, reliability, care continuity and sustainability. The involvement of all stakeholders is essential in this journey.

During the holiday session, Dr. Sodani highlighted that we had a very meaningful, powerful and inspiring session where 30+ prominent speakers from around the world shared their work on the innovation and best practices of over 2000 delegates. Students pursuing their hospital administration and public health courses from around the world, including the United States and the United Kingdom, may attend the conference.

The conference had four tracks:

  1. Primary health care management
  2. Hospital management
  3. Pharmaceutical management
  4. Promoting academic-industrial collaboration.

As the next decade continues to witness significant growth in innovation in health and education, IIHMR University has taken initiatives to promote a culture of innovation as a key stakeholder. The conference was effective in contributing to the Government of India’s push to adopt innovative best practices in health and education to achieve SDG 3 and SDG 4 by 2030. The conference has been instrumental in developing new programs and policies to encourage innovation in healthcare. The education sector of the economy provides platforms and collaborative opportunities for various stakeholders.

At the end of the closing session, said. (Colonel) Mahendra Kumar, Dean and Proctor, IIHMR University, thanked all the distinguished persons, academics and other stakeholders. The conference was adjourned with the Indian national anthem.
