IIIT Delhi conducts faculty development programs on leadership

Participants who scored more than 60 percent in the online assessment received a certificate from AICTE.

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) has organized a free workshop on ‘Leading Self to Excellence’ from 15 to 19 October 2021 under the auspices of AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) program. ATAL is a unique initiative of AICTE to enhance the quality of technical education in the country by training teachers in a wide range of relevant subjects. Life Skills Management is one of the most important areas of this program.

Grover has over 21 years of experience in art and academia and has conducted more than 50 workshops on leadership for students and art professionals – although this is his first workshop in collaboration with AICTE. About 200 participants from all over the country have signed up for this 5 day intensive workshop.

The workshop was based on the timeless principles of effectiveness explained by leadership trainers like Stephen R. Covey, Ram Charan, Bob Berg, John Mann and the like. The sessions were combined with activities and spiced up with stories of Indian learning to bring ideas home. According to the AICTE order, there should be several sessions that help participants manage their physical and mental well-being. As a result, a set of simple but powerful yoga tools was offered by an instructor at the Isha Foundation. The workshop includes guided meditation based on easily available online resources so that participants can continue to practice after the workshop.
