IIT Kanpur organizes Foundation Day in Hybrid Mode

16 Alumni of IITK and 4 Institute Fellows have been awarded for outstanding achievements and contributions in their respective fields.

IIT Kanpur on the occasion of its 62nd founding day has honored its renowned alumni and colleagues for their exceptional achievements and contributions in various fields. Dr. K. Radhakrishnan, former chairman of ISRO and current chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Kanpur, presided over the founding day celebrations, which were held in a hybrid style due to epidemic limitations. The event witnessed the presentation of 20 awards, 16 distinguished graduates and four IIT Fellows. Prominent scientists, art professionals, politicians and technocrats were among the dignitaries, some of whom were pioneers in their art.

Among the dignitaries are Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav, Vartika Shukla, CMD, Engineers India Limited, and Mukesh Bansal, CEO and co-founder, Curefit. Former ED Director Colonel Singh Satyendra K has been awarded the Dubey Memorial Award.

Professor Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur, said: The IITK family attended the event providing solutions and services to overcome the challenges. As the world enters a ‘new normal’, we find it appropriate to celebrate the founding day of our ‘Alma Mater’ through hybrid mode. This occasion is an opportunity for each of us to dedicate ourselves to the spirit of IIT Kanpur. ”
