A total of 452 students, including 45 PhD scholars, have graduated from the ninth convocation of IIT Mandi.
The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi celebrated its 9th convocation on October 23, 2021, with a graduate class of 452 students.
Padma Bhushan Professor Anil Kakodkar, Former Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission of India, Former Secretary, Government of India, and former Director, Bhaba Atomic Research Center, was present as the Chief Guest. Professor Prem Brat, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Mandi, presided over the convocation.

A total of 23 female students in the graduate program this year; 69 graduates from undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and 12 graduates from PhD programs from IIT Mandi, surpassing the previous year’s figure. The curriculum seems to be ahead of many other engineering institutes in India and even internationally.
Speaking to the students at the 9th Convocation of IIT Mandi, the chief guest Professor Anil Kakodkar said, “My congratulations to all the graduating students. Today the world faces unprecedented challenges as well as opportunities. I am sure graduating from IIT Mandi will be a great asset for you as you move forward in your career. “
