To curb bullying and provide a better learning environment for all students, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has announced the reorganization of the university’s anti-ragging committee for 2021-22.
The university said in a statement that an anti-ragging committee has been set up for the university “in accordance with UGC regulations to prevent the threat of ragging in higher education institutions”.
The committee consists of Professor Mahesh Verma as the chairman and the vice-chancellor. Speaking of members, it includes Prof. Rita Singh, Proctor, GGSIPU, Prof. Manpreet Kaur Kang, Director, Student Welfare, Prof. CS Rai, Chief Warden, Prof. AP Singh, Dean, USLLS, Prof. Anu Venugopalan, Dean, US Parihar, Registrar, Geeta Mahajan, DR, Admission and Pankaj Agarwal, DR, General Administration.
In addition to the list of members, there are Poonam Singh, Media Representative, Rajendra Singh, ACP. Dwarka, Member of Civil and Public Administration, Anil Parasar, NGO Representative, Indu Bala, Parent Representative and Bina Dhingra, Parents Representative.
