However, the order issued on Wednesday states that classes and examinations for all undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programs will be conducted through online mode until further notice. Hostel facilities will be suspended until further notice, it said.
“The university campus will be open to PhD scholars who must submit their thesis on or before December 31, 2021. Final year / semester students may participate in a limited number of offline clinical and practical classes on a limited number of subjects from November 2021. COVID-19 Health And to comply with hygiene protocols, ”the order said.
The order further said that a departmental library facility would be opened for PhD and final-year semester students to prepare their latest negative RT-PCR report / immunization certificate. The order states, “Deans / HoDs / Managers may kindly ensure timely conduct of teaching and evaluation work by the concerned faculty members.”
Earlier this week, various student groups called on Jamia Millia Islamia to reopen its campus in view of the improved COVID-19 situation in Delhi. Although other central universities like Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University have taken steps to reopen their campuses in phases, Jamia Millia Islamia has not yet made any announcement in this regard.
Following the significant improvement in the COVID-19 situation here, the Delhi government has allowed schools, colleges and coaching institutes for classes 9 to 12 to reopen from September 1.
