Amity Law School, Noida, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), has conducted ‘Philip C. Jessup International Law Mutt Court Competition 2022’, a highly enticing platform on a virtual platform. The themes of this year’s competition were “the importance of human rights on the Internet, information theft, cybercrime, secession of a country’s territory and foreign electoral interference.”
The Philip C. Jesup Mutt Court Competition, 2022 Indian Qualifiers were jointly held by Amity Law School, Noida, Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP) and International Law Students Association (ILSA) from 24 February to 27 February 2022. A total of 6 virtual preliminary rounds were held in the competition and more than 200 judges who specialize in their respective fields judged 72 matches. The event was attended by about 35 teams including 15 National Law Universities and other acclaimed colleges including Hidayatullah National Law University, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat National Law College, ILS Law College, Pune, Symbiosis Law School, Pune and National University of Advanced Legal Studies. Philip C. The Jessup Mutt Court Competition is the largest Mutt Court Competition in the world, with participants from around 100 law schools in 100 countries and jurisdictions. The competition mimics a fictitious dispute between countries before the UN International Court of Justice. A team from each eligible school is allowed to participate. The parties prepare oral and written petitions arguing the position of both the petitioner and the respondent in the case.
