Memorandum of Understanding signed between National Skill Development Corporation and Common Service Center

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for the provision of services to accelerate the development of skills in India.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Common Services Centers to assist in providing services related to various skills development programs for youth in rural and remote areas of the country.

Under the partnership, CSCs at the village level will act as a skills desk, creating awareness about the various available skills development programs. Candidate registration will be done under the program available for skill development training including Aadhaar seeding and distribution of certificates to the candidates.

Ved Mani Tiwari, Chief Operating Officer, National Skill Development Corporation, said, “Through CSC, NSDC will be able to identify grassroots talent seekers and connect them to the right skill opportunities in their ecosystem. This strategic partnership will help NSDC with the CSC’s database and analysis and plan purposeful skills for young people aspiring to become proficient. ”

Dr. Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, Managing Director, CSC SPV, said, “The association with NSDC will be a pathbreaking as it will allow CSC-run village level entrepreneurs to identify candidates, assist in their registration, link them with training providers, thereby increasing employment opportunities. Or the aspirations of a large number of rural youth interested in development. ”
