NIT Andhra Pradesh has revised the BTech curriculum as part of the NEP 2020 implementation

Andhra Pradesh National Institute of Technology has revised its BTech curriculum and added new features as part of implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The Institute is conducting a symposium I and II on 29 and 30 October 2021 under the banner of ‘National Conclave on Strategies for Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’. This seminar has enabled to get administrative staff, students, researchers and faculty members. Awareness of achievable development after implementation of NEP in the Institute.

According to the new Education Policy 2020, Professor CSP Rao has announced the salient features of the new curriculum B.Tech 2020-21:

  • Multiple Exit Options (Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and B.Tech)
  • Minor degree with regular degree
  • Honors degree with regular degree
  • Online education through Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
  • Choice-based credit system
  • Skill development through mini projects
  • Outreach activities through community engineering projects (EPICS)
  • Summer internship in institute / institution / industry
  • Major final year project through industry training / internship
  • Art supported / relevant courses
  • Learning interdisciplinary / emerging technologies through electives
  • Introduction to foreign languages
  • Physical Education (Sports / Games / Health)
