Noida International University (NIU) has announced the appointment of Professor (Dr.) Uma Bharadwaj as the new Vice Chancellor. With 30 years of vast experience, Professor Bharadwaj continues to uplift the standard of NIU as one of the most innovative universities in the country, bringing opportunities for education and students and faculty worldwide.
Prior to joining NIU, Professor Bharadwaj held leadership positions at major institutions. He is an implementer who is able to work successfully both independently and as part of a team. He is an MSc-Gold Medalist (Biochemistry) and holds a PhD in Biotechnology and has 5 years working in corporate and 25 years working in the teaching and research sector.
Speaking on the appointment, Dr. Devesh Kumar Singh, Chairman, Noida International University, said, “We have chosen a new Vice-Chancellor who embodies our vision and sense of purpose. He will lead the development and implementation of a new strategy for NIU, lead initiatives that will transform lives and inspire positive change through learning and research. As challenges mount after the epidemic and the pace of change accelerates, the university is ideally positioned to expand its discovery and translation research capabilities, and it can certainly lead the way. “
He has hands-on expertise in coordinating with statutory institutes like DCI for BDS and MDS courses, INC for BSc. And M.Sc. AIOTA for nursing courses, BOT and MOT courses, IAP for BPT and MPT courses, PCI for pharmacy course process for various accreditation, academic and administrative support services. He is an international writer; Books published by Pearson Publications.

NIU has 13 academic departments that provide milestone specialization to students across 30 countries. The university offers all its courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.
