OP Jindal has signed a MoU with the Global University International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for academic cooperation and a joint degree program in humanitarian action and policy and international humanitarian law.
OP Jindal Global University has announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to create awareness on humanitarian action and international humanitarian law (IHL) and to develop new academic programs. It will strengthen cooperation in the areas of promotion, awareness raising, development, teaching and research in the fields.
The main objective of the MoU is to deepen the understanding of humanities and IHL related issues through research, exchange of knowledge and curriculum development. It also enhances internship opportunities for university students and professional development opportunities such as faculty and staff exchanges between the two institutions.
Organizations will now partner in organizing multiple events, including lecture series, roundtables, conferences and webinars on mutually agreed topics. These may include links between climate change, natural disasters, maritime security and safety, and sustainable humanitarian initiatives and development.
