The institute will study and support proposals for debt as well as equity.
The Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship (CFBE) of the building’s SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at helping family businesses grow to a new level to help bridge their funding gaps. The new initiative, called ‘Growth’, is a platform that will connect fund-seeking family businesses with fundraisers and act as a fund accelerator available exclusively to SPJIMR alumni and CFBE participants.
Growth will lead to family businesses that want to grow with the transformational changes that may come when traditional business leadership and professional management work together to scale activities with innovation, diversity and / or speed. This will help fund funding, offer appropriate perseverance and add a level of professional competence under the SPJIMR umbrella to guide, support and drive growth.
The platform will offer a four-stage process that will last approximately four months with each proposal, starting with an application stage and ending with a pitch, and will meet the family business investors with the funded business. SPJIMR will charge a nominal professional fee for the service
