SPJIMR redesigns development management program for Post Covid World

After 11 years of learning and observing Kovid’s recent impact on society, the Postgraduate Program in Development Management (PGPDM) has been redesigned with greater emphasis on wise innovation and change management for sustainable development.

The SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has started its pioneering Post Graduate Program in Development Management, (PGPDM) in 2011, and has started the admission process for the 20th batch of the program.

The goal of the 12-month Executive Management Program is to develop innovative leaders for the social development sector, including NGOs, foundations, corporate CSR functions, and social enterprises. With 19 cohorts over 11 years, the program has affected 274 organizations across 21 states across India, with PGPDM alumni serving as founders, heads, trustees and directors of NGOs and as social entrepreneurs, CSR managers, program officers and social sector consultants.

The program enables modular and participants to continue working in their current organization. The program consists of 30 courses, each delivered within six communication periods of two weeks. The first and last contacts are accommodation at SPJIMR’s Mumbai campus, the other four contacts are distributed online on weekends and weekday evenings. Program participants become part of SPJIMR’s global alumni and members of a larger sustainable social innovation community nurtured by SPJIMR’s Center for Innovation in Sustainable Development.

The admission process for the 20th party is underway and the last date for submission of applications is April 10, 2022, the party will start the program on May 07, 2022.
