The Delhi government has introduced Anganwari on wheels

On the occasion of International Girl Child Day, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has unveiled ‘Anganwari on Wheels’.

The Delhi government on Monday launched the “Anganwari on Wheels” initiative to meet the nutritional and health needs of children, an official statement said.

The initiative will reach out to children who for some reason could not reach the Anganwadi and provide them with nutritious food as well as meet their educational and health-related needs, he added.

On the occasion of International Girl Child Day, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia launched “Anganwari on Wheels”.

“Under the initiative, the Delhi government aims to reach out to children who are unable to reach Anganwadi for any reason.”

“Children aged 0-6 years will be able to access early childhood care and education through trained Anganwadi workers through these buses. Children will also be provided nutritious food,” he said.

Delhi’s Women and Child Development Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam said the government was working on women’s and children’s development with priority.

Comment Delhi Women’s Commission chief Swati Maliwal was also present on the occasion.
