Increasing employment opportunities for students is a top priority of the Ministry of Education, and for this, AICTE has created its internship portal (https://internship.aicte-india.org) to facilitate students to get suitable internship opportunities. To integrate classroom knowledge and theory into practical application.

Currently, 15.1 lakh + internships (full time / part-time / virtual mode internships) are available on AICTE’s portal from various ministries, government departments, private companies, start-ups and MSMEs.

AICTE has formulated its internship policy for technical education students, making internship compulsory for all UG / Diploma students. A minimum of 14-20 credits for internship / entrepreneurial activities / project work / seminars and inter / institutional training / NSQF level 3, 4 and 5 can be counted for UG degree programs (programs out of total 160 credits of 4 year UG program) and three. 10-14 credits for a one-year diploma program (out of a total of 120 credits for a 3-year diploma program). A credit equals a minimum of 40-45 hours of work.
