The SPJIMR PGDM final placement beats all previous records

This year, the average annual salary (expenses from the company) stood at Rs 32.05 lakh per annum, an increase of about 23 per cent over the number reported last year.

SPJIMR of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan recently announced the successful completion of its 2022 PGDM Class Final Placement in a record number of process hours with huge corporate participation.

Complete placement exercises were conducted online using a variety of platforms and protocols to meet the needs and security requirements of the participating companies.

Consultants have emerged as the top recruiting sector with 38 per cent offer of batch of 238 participants. It is based on the trend of year-round incremental offers from Premier Management Consulting Company, which has made SPJIMR a preferred campus for the consulting domain.

This year, the average annual salary (expenses from the company) stood at Rs 32.05 lakh per annum, an increase of about 23 per cent over the number reported last year. The average annual salary came to Rs 30.10 lakh per annum, more than 59 per cent of the batch offers more than Rs 30 lakh per annum and more than Rs 25 lakh more than 87 per cent.

With increasing acceptance by consulting firms, offers were brought to 91 students, the highest reported by SPJIMR for a batch. Participating companies include Accenture Strategy, Alvarez & Marsal, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, GEP, KPMG, Miebach and PwC US Advisory.

The FMCG sector was also a major employer and offered more than 22 per cent of the batch. Top employers in the sector include Asian Paints, Colgate-Palmolive, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Kimberly Clark, L’Oreal, Marico, Mondelez, Procter & Gamble and Reckitt.

This was closely followed by offers in the private equity, BFSI, tech and e-commerce sectors that saw companies like Amazon, American Express, Avendus, Axis Capital, Flipkart, GEF Capital, Goldman Sachs, Info Edge, JM Financial, Microsoft, MMT. And among others participating in the PayTM process.

General management roles were offered by leading employers such as Capgemini Elite, Mahindra GMC and Tata Administrative Services.

In addition to regular recruiters, SPJIMR has onboard 75 first-time recruiters from various sectors.
