The University of Canberra opens the application for the VC Social Champion Scholarship

Each student will be given three scholarships worth about Rs 1 crore. Applications will be open from 1st April to 9th October

The University of Canberra (UC) in Australia opened its application for the VC Social Champion Scholarship today, April 1, 2022. Three scholarships will be awarded to international students who wish to start at Semester One, 2023 at UC. Applications open on 1 April 2022 and close on 9 October 2022.

The total total cost of the scholarship is $ 200,000 per student (up to about one crore rupees). This includes tuition fees for the duration of the course, accommodation on campus and an annual allowance of $ 10,000 (Australian dollars).

To apply, students must fill out the VC’s Social Champion Scholarship online application form, available on the University of Canberra’s official website.

To apply, students must submit a written statement showing their financial needs, values ​​and relevant experience with the following:

  • Possibility to develop as a leader by embracing and advancing the principles of social and economic justice, and their practice
  • Creating a positive difference in the community by working differently, innovating and inspiring others
  • Curiosity and desire to learn, collaborate and engage with perspectives from different cultural contexts

The scholarship program, which was unveiled last week, will enable financially disabled offshore students to pursue their undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Australia. The Vice-Chancellor’s Social Champion Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate not only academically, but also leadership qualities and a passion for social justice. The goal of the scholarship is to encourage students who want to go further and make a positive difference in the community.

The University of Canberra is counted among the top 200 universities worldwide and is one of the top 10 universities in Australia.
