UNACADEM has launched an initiative to educate female students

‘Shikshoday’ is committed to educating 5 lakh girls across India through UNACADEM

Unacademy, India’s learning platform today announced its national mega flagship initiative – ‘Shikshoday’.

Through this initiative, UNACADEMA’s goal is to commit to ‘Betty Sang Bulandi Ki Ore’, that is, to educate and empower five million talented female students across the country.

The initiative creates an opportunity for girls who have dropped out of school, now in school and college, to reintegrate into mainstream education.

With education, all five lakh female students will acquire knowledge and skills that will help them to support themselves and their communities, achieve their goals and be a part of India’s development story.

Speaking on the occasion, Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said, “This mega initiative is expected to have a positive impact not only on the five lakh female students but also on their families, society and the nation at large. Edtech has the potential to provide innovative, affordable ways to transform education and play a powerful role in achieving universal access to quality education for all children. The goal of the academy is to harness the power of technology to provide quality education in remote areas of India. A great initiative of Unacademy, education will not only help girls to get jobs but at the same time ensure that it excludes girls from education for their own livelihood “.

Commenting on the occasion, Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Manipal Global Education, said, “Educating women will empower them to meet the challenges of life. Through the Internet, digital learning platforms and mobile phones, we are at the heart of a huge digital transformation and providing women with the potential to earn extra income and increase their employment potential. Women’s literacy, participation in the workforce and financial inclusion are important elements of a country’s economic progress and education is an integral pillar that contributes to their empowerment. This initiative by UNA Academy will inspire more start-ups to contribute to the nation-building program. ”

“At Unacademy, our vision is to democratize high quality education for everyone, regardless of their population or economic status. As we enter the 75th year of independence, women’s empowerment is crucial for the betterment of society and economy. We believe technology-driven social equity and education are the twin engines that will help us turn into a $ 5 trillion economy. With education, we want to enable some of that transformation and look forward to making a greater social impact by empowering 500,000 girls, “said Gaurab Munjal, co-founder and CEO of Unacademie Group.

Unacadami also showed their commitment to ‘Betty Sang Bulandi Ki Ore’ in a film called ‘Shikshoday’, which was unveiled at the launch event of the enterprise in New Delhi today. The film talks about how UNACADEM is empowering and helping female students to fulfill their dream of quality education.
