They have been brought in to strengthen Quaymath’s ever-expanding growth journey by strengthening leadership.
Qumeth, the global math tutoring platform, has been expanding its C-suite since Vivek Sundar was appointed CEO of the company in October last year. Following this, the company has now appointed Varun Jha as its new Chief Marketing Officer, Tanaya Kilara as Chief Customer Officer and Santanu Chari as Chief of Teacher Community.
To lead the marketing team, Varun will play a key role in supporting the growth of Qumeth by planning, developing and implementing strategic marketing courses for the brand. Varun will also play an important role in expanding the company in the global market. Varun is an experienced person in the consumer internet industry with over 15 years of experience in scaling growth, product and consumer trade businesses. He has held leadership positions at leading consumer technology companies such as Jumkar, Snapdeal and Pew. In his last assignment, Varun Wink was head of business and P&L for Airtel Extreme (Airtel’s digital offer) and was instrumental in restructuring and launching the OTT subscription business model at Airtel. He has extensive cross-industry experience in digital payments, e-commerce, urban mobility, online music streaming, OTT and telecom. Varun has an MBA from IIT Bombay and a BA from the University of Mumbai.
Tanya is a Warton School graduate who brings worldwide experience across education and customer experience, works at the World Bank in the United States, operates a chain of about 500 schools in East Africa, and recently led an education solution at Varthana, a school lender.
Santanu will lead the teacher community and operations, an important pillar of Quaymath’s commitment to his students. Teacher recruitment and training, management, skill enhancement and teacher quality will be helpful. Santanu is a hands-on business leader who has different cross-functional experiences across different industries and has the ability to connect dots to ultimately impress the customer. In the past, he has been part of the Vice President and Senior Leadership at educational organizations such as the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and Edureka and Avado Learning. He is an alumnus of IIM Lucknow and University of Bangalore.
