Wipro 3D agreement signed between Alliance University and Wipro Infrastructure Engineering.

MoU signed for capacity building program and design of Industry Allied IoT Center

Alliance University announces MoU with Wipro 3D to collaborate on design and development of industry-linked IoT centers, IDEA labs, online skills, and skills development programs in digital manufacturing and industrial Internet of Things. According to the MoU, Alliance University and Wipro will also offer skills enhancement and mentoring programs related to 3D Additive Manufacturing (AM).

Additive Manufacturing (or 3D Printing) is leading the world towards an Industrial Revolution 4.0, which offers immense potential to revolutionize India’s manufacturing and industrial production landscape through digital processes and skills. Trained engineers and technicians are important to make the most of this technology. In addition, it demands new skills and abilities, both technical and managerial. Yet many of these innovations have outgrown the ability of large manufacturing workers to adapt. As a result, there is a shortage of skilled workers — a shortage that affects production, quality, innovation, and growth.

Alliance University Vice-Chancellor Anubha Singh and Wipro 3D’s Vice-President and Head of Business, Ajay Parikh signed the MoU to bridge the industry-academy gap. The collaboration seeks to develop qualified human resources and research personnel with industry-linked expertise in digital manufacturing.
